David AlanBOWENMr Bowen Maths - Glan-y-Mor School Peacefully at his home on Tuesday 10th May 2022 following an illness he has borne with wonderful courage and dignity, Alan of Dolau Fan, Burry Port sadly passed away. The beloved husband and soulmate of Mil, dearly loved and devoted father of Kevin, Roger and Ken, fond and respected father-in-law of Shona, Beryl and Sam, a very proud and cherished grandfather of Eilidh, Gareth, Euan, Ffion, Osian and Rhydian and great-grandfather of Finn and Áine, a dear brother-in-law of Linda. A wonderful friend to everyone in the community of Burry Port. Alan will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral on Monday 20th June, a service of celebration of Alan's life will be held at his beloved Tabernacle Chapel, Burry Port where he was organist and senior Deacon for many years at 11.00am followed by a cremation service at Llanelli Crematorium at 1.00pm. Family flowers only please but any donations raised in Alan's memory will be used to provide a memorial bench which will be placed at Burry Port Lifeboat Station where he served as Station Treasurer for 14 years.
