It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Professor Ivor Delme Bowen on 25 March 2026,
aged 82.

A much-loved father, grandfather and friend, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A brilliant mind and a truly unique character, he will be remembered with great affection.

A funeral service will be held at Llanelli Crematorium on Tuesday 21 April 2026 at 3:00pm.

Although I was never of the same political persuasion as Delme I served with him on the Pentyrch Community Council and knew of him also as a member of Pontyclun Community Council. A County Councillor and former Mayor of Cardiff Council as well. He was a very dedicated councillor and who can forget him going around delivering his own newsletters to residents on a regular basis.
