Andrew KeithBOWERIt is with great sadness that I announce the death of my beloved father, Andrew Bower. He sadly passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday 5th February 2026 at just 52 years old. His charismatic personality, eagerness to do everything, stubbornness and singing will be missed dearly.
Born on Friday 16th November 1973, his parents Sheila Bower (deceased) and David Bower (deceased). He was raised in Seaton, Devon and has moved to places like Poole, Surrey, London, Bodmin, Plymouth and Tavistock, where he tragically passed away. Early on in his life, he lived with his Grandparents. He used to like telling me stories about his childhood and I also enjoyed listening to them. He loved his Grandparents deeply.
Over the years, he's had many pets that's he's loved dearly, Yarna, Stanley, Whiney, Laddie and Harley (all dogs), and Lily and Tennyson (cats). He loved all animals to bits and enjoyed stopping to talk to owners and stroke dogs, like one called Titus who was his favorite to stroke on walks. He enjoyed looking after his friends German Shepherd, Olly and took any opportunity he could to spend time with animals.
He loved being by the sea, going for walks and spending quality time with me and our dog Harley. He was a loyal supporter of the England cricket team, as well as Plymouth Argyle.
He studied at the City College Plymouth in 1989, where he studied home economics to pursue his career as a chef. He was a fantastic chef, the best I've met, and he took great care and enjoyed cooking throughout his life. When we moved to, my Dad passed a career in data analytics, where he worked for Toyota. He was always eager to help me with any tasks needed for my degree as he knew how to do it thanks to prior work. In 2016, he was unfortunately forced to retire due to his deteriorating sight. He would spend his time enjoying his children's growth, watching sport and going for walks. He loved nature and always wanted to be with nature.
In 1995, he married our Mum, Lynda Boardman (deceased) and would spend 10 years together, having two children, Jeremy and Luke. He would then go on to raise us both up to become the men that we are today. He took great joy in watching us both grow up and celebrated every achievement we had. We become his treasures that he would protect at all costs.
Andrew will be lovingly remembered by his two children Jeremy and Luke. He will have his final farewell on Thursday 5th March at the Bedford Hotel, with a select number of people close to him during his time at Tavistock and in London.
"Nothin' lasts forever
And we both know hearts can change
And it's hard to hold a candle
In the cold November Rain"
We love you dearly Dad, miss you deeply, thank you for everything you've done for us and now may you rest in peace.
