I remember the beautiful Kathleen from when I was a child. She was my Dad’s cousin as were Ann and Cora. She was lovely, always with a touch of mischief in her voice. I was always a little in awe because she was so glamorous. Her mum, my Aunty Dolly and my Gran, May Kate were sisters. All so sadly missed.

Kate, you were always such a joy to be with! Thank you for being such a blessing to our family and loving us so much. We loved you right back and will miss you brightening every room. I write this tribute to celebrate the life of Kate Bowes, a remarkable woman who touched the hearts of everyone in the Ikomi family . As the loving mother-in-law of my brother, Amaju, Kate welcomed him into her family with open arms and became a source of love, support, and guidance.

Kate's kindness, generosity, and warmth inspired us all. Her infectious smile and laughter could light up a room, making everyone feel welcome and valued.

Kate's love for her family was unparalleled. She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones, creating treasured memories spiced with her legendary sense of humour.

As we say goodbye to this extraordinary woman, we take comfort in the memories we shared with her. We will miss her dearly, but her legacy of love, kindness, and compassion will live on in our hearts.
