JeanBOWNES(née Cameron) On May 29th 2022 Jean Margaret Bownes (nee Cameron), aged 83, passed peacefully at Forth Valley Hospital, Stirling following a stroke. As she would have loved and how she lived her life, she was surrounded by her close family who send a huge thank you to the hospital staff who showed immense compassion and professionalism. Beloved wife of Allan Bownes for 62 years, Jean was the much-loved mum to Ian, Allan and Morag and gran (Lala) to Ian-Salu, Jenny, Lily, Katie and Ella. And also much-loved by her son in law and daughters in law: George, Ati and Tracy. She was a gracious and generous person, full of love and laughter. As a primary school teacher she dedicated her life to helping others fulfil their potential and she will be greatly missed by so many whose lives she touched. For those who wish to join the family there will be a Church service to celebrate Jean's life at 2pm on Thursday 16th June at Bruce Memorial Church, Cambusbarron followed by a private family committal. Instead of flowers, mum would have loved people to donate to her favourite charities SSPCA and Equi-Power.
