So sad to hear of Brian’s passing, we were in the same class at Trentham junior school and both passed the 11 plus to go to Longton High. We would knock about together as teenagers and we became quite proficient table tennis players at the Methodist Youth Club on Barlaston Old Road

My late husband and my family all have lovely memories of Brian. Alan and he always had in-depth conversations about cricket which both were passionate about. My daughters found him to be so warm and interested in their work and ambitions. I knew him so well from school visits when we had coffee and a catch-up.
What a wonderful man who will be so sadly missed and leaves a huge space in his family’s lives. I send our sincere condolences to them all. With love, Cynthia and the Eaton family.
