FrankBRIDGEMr Frank Bridge, of Lyndale Avenue, Haslingden, died at Hill View Care Home, Rawtenstall, on Friday, August 27, aged 90. In his early years, he played cricket for Rawtenstall Cricket Club and other local cricket and football teams. After winning a scholarship to attend Townley School, Burnley, he did his apprenticeship as a joiner. He enjoyed cricket, football, and horse racing. A local family man who was married to the late Stephanie for 55 years, he leaves children Kathryn and Ralph, four grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, September 8, at 11am at Accrington Crematorium, led by Kathy Unsworth. Donations can be made at www.fredhamer.co.uk (tributes and donations).
