Sensei HectorBROWNPeacefully passed away on Thursday 21st January 2016 aged 70 years. A dearly loved dad to Kevin, Sophia and Errol and a dearly missed grandad. A Karate Instructor for 35 years. I passed my black belt at the weekend. If it wasn't for this man, I wouldn't have started my martial arts journey 30 years ago.

One of a kind was Hector it was a privilege to know the man I'm sure he brought such joy to others like myself who I know how dedicated to Martial arts he truly was.

Hector in 1986 paired up with me for the week London U.K.K.W winter course agreeing to meet up again 1987 for our Dan Grade in Weymouth he was a fun guy we shared a lot of laughs together each day worse the wear from the night before but a great guy I'm proud to say he was a friend.

Even years after his passing, it still brings great sadness. I first entered his dojo aged 5years old. I train Karate 30years later, all because of this great and humble man.

Thank you sensei for everything you taught me about karate and life. The world needs more Sensei Hector Browns.

Hector Brown was an inspirational Karate teacher and a gentle, kind man. I spent many years going to Karate at Moor Lane sports centre before leaving Derby. My children have just started Karate thanks to his inspiration.
