AudreyBROWNPeacefully on Tuesday, January 12, Audrey Brown, of Accrington died, aged 89. Audrey was the dear wife of the late Bernard, much loved mum of Geoffrey, Christine and Susan, and mum-in-law of Phil, Graham, and Sam. She was also a caring nana to Jackie, Lianne, Fionna, Nicole and Andrew, and a loving great-nan to Oliver, Tea, Mia, and Matilda. Audrey was a familiar face to many, having spent much of her working life as a receptionist. She worked for Dr McLaughlin on Cannon Street for many years and later Mearley Veterinary Group in Accrington, formerly Tindall and Westhead, until her retirement. A lover of the outdoors, Audrey made many friends whilst taking her dogs for their daily walk over Highams and the Coppice. Audrey enjoyed painting, gardening, music crosswords, word games, and puzzles. She will be sadly missed by all her family, friends, and neighbours. Service to take place at Accrington Crematorium on Tuesday, February 2, at 11am, led by Philip Norris. Family flowers only please, or if so desired donations in Audrey’s memory can be made to the North West Air Ambulance charity, c/o a family member or the funeral director Hyndburn Funeral Services.
