Stephen MartinBROWNE"Stephen" "Brownie" Sadly passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones at the University Hospital in Coventry. Stephen, was born and raised in Coundon, Coventry, where he lived and worked his entire life. He lived life to the full with his ability to make everybody around him laugh, with a heart of gold that will be missed every day. A funeral Mass will be held to celebrate Stephen's life at Christ the King RC Church Coundon, Coventry CV6 2AA on Friday 24th June at 11.15am. Following the Church service, there will be a committal at Cannon Hill Chapel, Canley Crematorium 180 Cannon Hill Rd, Coventry CV4 7DF at 12.45pm. Stephen will be forever loved, cherished and missed by his son, Martin James and his fiancé Olivia. His parents, Martin and Mary, his brother Andrew and family - Melanie, Georgia, Kelly and Leo, his Aunties, Uncles, Cousins and wider family expanding to Ireland, and of course his endless list of beloved friends, whom were his family also. In the words of Stephen himself: "Now now Browne cow, Thank you my learned".. Stephen was an avid fan of Coventry City Football Club and used to play at a top level as a boy, so in his memory it would be fitting if you could wear Sky Blue please, a Coventry City shirt would be welcome. To our special father, son and brother, learned friend and 'browne cow', - sleep well, you will be forever missed. Family flowers only please but if you wish to make a donation for UHCW Charity we would be grateful, send to A Pargetter & Son Ltd, Funeral Directors, City Mews, Lamb Street, Coventry CV1 4AE (Tel: 02476 223343)

We’ll all miss the Brownie laugh, we first met playing for Coventry Schools way back in the 70s. Steve was always the joker and famous for his Cruyff turn, according to Steve he did it first. A special man taken way to soon, RIP friend.
