What a lovely internment yesterday at Boldmere St Michael’s Church, I’m sure Dave would have approved. The Vicar did a lovely service, everyone was welcome. Finally you have been laid to rest in a place you would certainly approve.

Uncle Dave, I can’t believe we have been without you for a whole month. It’s like time has completely stopped but has been put into fast forward all at once. I’m so sorry I couldn’t be at your service on Monday, the numbers just would not allow it. I promise to make it up to you in June, when we can finally celebrate the incredible man, brother, uncle and friend you were to so many people. I love you so much, words will never explain how much we all miss you and how badly I wish I could give you a cuddle just one more time.

Forever and a day, until we see you again ❤️ rest in peace uncle Dave xxx

Can’t believe yesterday has been done and dusted, it doesn’t feel like a month since we lost you. You’ve left a big void in many of our hearts and we can’t wait to give you the celebration you deserve. You are finally at peace and hopefully we shall feel a sense of peace ourselves when we get to celebrate your life with everyone you loved. Thank you for being the best grandad ever. We miss you dearly everyday. ♥️xxx

Said goodbye to my beloved brother David today. The weather at 09:15 befitted our mood. Very cold, raining, snow on the ground and we were ushered into a very cold waiting room till 09:30. All 8 of us (maximum we were allowed) were shown into a fairly big room where David’s coffin was and we were allowed 3 songs over the tannoy with pictures of David shown. We were given 10 minutes, then led out. We could have filled the place but weren’t allowed. But we all did our best for Dave. Afterwards we all went to a local garden centre, had a breakfast and chatted about our times with David. Rest in peace Dave. Always in our thoughts.
