What a character. I knew Anne for about 50 years as a neighbour and friend. She had clear ideas and opinions and was very kind. I missed her when she had to move into Care, following her stroke. She had a good run! RIP.

Anne, Miss Tomkinson as I knew her when she taught me at St Cuthberts School, Stockton. What fond memories I have, I hear her now saying, yes you can do it whether on the sports field or in the classroom, she gave me confidence for adulthood and all my achievements started with her. I have kept in touch with her and enjoyed reminiscing recently in the care home laughing and remembering lots of occasions from our school days, RIP with lots of blessings
