End of an Era

The spirit of my cat lived on beyond his timely death,
with him, there was an end to all I loved, I was bereft,
those years of true tranquility, on which I could depend,
I knew, when this cat died, an era had come to an end.

His heart was truly broken when his master left this earth,
he sulked and pined, his life had very little use or worth.
But deep within my heart I’ll not forget the two were tied,
the love they felt, unique, and my heart broke when they both died.

A Powerful Presence

I saw it in his eyes, the love,
he had for not just me
but many souls who benefit,
from someone good like he.
Humanity was in his heart,
he cared for those he met,
remembering the love he gave,
and I will not forget.

So many years have distanced us,
but lively is my thought,
a man this good, who understood,
that love could not be bought.
An honest warmth, a fire within,
a resolute companion,
a lover, friend, a confidant,
a power house, a stallion.

We all think about you my darling husband Ken:

Eternal Love

When counting all the blessings in my hoard,
and placing them in order of acclaim,
I'll not forget the love received and stored,
inside my heart where there is still a flame.

A deep affection, tender and desired,
remembered with a fondness richly laced
with kindness that will never be retired,
delivered with a smile and faithful grace.

And in my dreams I feel your presence near,
advising me, supporting every step;
and when I am upset and shed a tear,
I have the strength to battle and be prepped.

You touched my life in ways I never knew,
the silence still leaves signs, our love was true.
