StuartBYRNEOn 28th October 2025, Stuart died at home in Birkby following a short illness with his daughters beside him.

Stuart was a top-notch dad, and even better grandad, valued friend and neighbour, fishing buddy, cousin, brother-in-law, uncle, verbal sparring partner and prankster.

The funeral will be held on Thursday 27th November at Fixby Crematorium at 12:30pm.

We will then continue the celebration of Stu's life with music and food at Cowcliffe and Netheroyd Sports and Social Club. Please bring your stories and your smiles.

Thank you so much to everyone for their messages on here. They mean the world to us. It is so lovely to hear from dad's friends who we didn't know as well. He valued his friendships dearly and it's really lovely and comforting for us to know how loved he was in return.

Thank you for the donations made on here and at the funeral. At the funeral we raised an amazing £453 to add to the fantastic amount already raised on here.

We chose this charity as Dad had a urostomy bag as of 2024 and was never shy about having a stoma. He saw having one as a privilege and something to be grateful for.

Love,

Victoria & Jessica

So sorry for your loss Jess and family. I remember his kindness, always happy to offer a lift in the van after a meet up at college. And just remembering his and your mum's kindness with a card and gift after Eddie was born. He was clearly very well respected.
