ValerieCAIRNSValerie Cairns, born 31st January 1933, in Pontypool, Wales, to Gwendolyn and Arthur Hooper, left this world to be with the Lord on, 9th July 2023, due to Frailty and advanced age. She was residing at Cloverleaf Home, Long Leys Road,Lincoln, for the last month of her life, having formally lived at her own home in Saxilby village since 2008. Valerie was the widow of John Charles Best Cairns since 2011, after 50 years of marriage. Valerie leaves behind her two daughters Vanda and Julia, five grandchildren Caroline, David, Dominic, Eliot and Leah, also one great granddaughter Savannah. Her nephew and niece by marriage Nick and Claudia and her son in law John. Valerie, a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, mother in law, will be remembered for her strength, independence and style. She is loved, and will live on in our hearts and memories forever. Valerie will be having her service at Lincoln Crematorium on Friday 11th August 2023 at 1.10 pm Valerie's ashes will be interred at a later date with her husband at St.Botolphs Church Saxilby.
