We met Brian and Rita on a cruise that was going around the Caribbean 30 years ago and have shared holidays with them for another 25 years until COVID arrived and soon after Brian took ill.
Brian was the mischievous type with a great sense of humor, he had this grin and knew you knew he was about to do something silly. When the grin appeared he would put his finger up to his mouth before playing the practical joke or something else on somebody.
Over the years we have had some very memorable holidays. One of the most memorable being on a trip to Hawaii and driving up and down the freeway looking for Pearl Harbour with Brian saying why can't we find it the bloody Japs did.
It didn't take us long to find out Brian wasn't the best person to take care of any keys to either a hire car or any accommodation as he would invariably lose them. Then say it was our fault for trusting us with him.
Brian will always have a place in our hearts and will be sadly missed.
Rest in peace old pal.
