CatherineCARRCatherine Carr, of Haslingden and formerly of Baxenden, passed away at Pendleside Hospice, aged 63. Well known for running the family shop ‘Pets and Ponies’ in Accrington, and then worked as a supervisor at Falcon Products, Haslingden. In her younger days she loved horse riding and competed in many horse shows. She loved her holidays and recently, caravanning with her partner Roy, meals out and spending time with the family. Catherine leaves behind her loving partner of 30 years Roy, her father Stan, brother Tony and sisters Gillian and Jennifer. She was a loving Auntie to all her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, who will all miss her dearly. The funeral service took place on Wednesday, September 29, at St John’s Church Baxenden, followed by a burial in the Churchyard, officiated by Fr. David Stephenson. Donations in memory of Catherine, if desired, to Pendleside Hospice c/o funeral director Caroline Holden-Dewhurst, Johnson, Durning & Woods Funeral Service, Haslingden.
