Alma ElizabethCARTERIt is with extreme sadness that the unexpected death of Alma Carter is announced after a short illness. Alma was born 1941 in Liverpool and died 15th October 2020 at University Hospital Coventry, aged 79 years. Daughter of Percival and Ellen Carter and sister to Anthony and Yvonne, all of whom predeceased her. Alma was much loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed by friends, neighbours, nephew Christopher and his partner Alice, brother-in-law Michael, close friend Maria and her son Matthew. Alma was a warm hearted generous person who devoted much of her life to the care of others, always placing their needs above her own. She always maintained a positive outlook despite the fact that she did not at times enjoy the best of health, especially in her latter years. Her life and actions will always be a source of inspiration and pride to all those who knew her and this will be the case long after her passing. Alma was an avid supporter of Liverpool Football Club and followed their recent progress with passion and joy. An animal lover all her life, she supported the charity Guide Dogs for the Blind. Funeral service will be at the Church of St Francis of Assisi, Kenilworth on Tuesday, 3rd November followed by cremation at Canley Crematorium. May she rest in peace and may perpetual light shine upon her.
