The obituary notice of Chris CHARGE

I was very sad to hear that Chris had passed away.
I enjoyed working with him and benefited from his wise advice and support, he was professional and universally respected.
The City of Newcastle should be grateful for his contribution towards the development and modernisation of its infrastructure.
He was a great bloke who I and I know many many others would consider a loyal friend.
I wish now that I had kept in touch.

Many great memories of time spent with a special guy

Chris and I have known each other for almost 65 years, since we first met at Leeds University. Although my family has lived in Canada most of the time since graduation, on our regular trips to England we always include a visit to the Charge household. The generous hospitality on each of these occasions has allowed our family to share numerous meals visits and experiences with Chris, Lynn, Richard, Amanda as well as many members of his extended family. Chris was always the perfect host (welcoming all five of us at one time), ensuring we had a perfect visit with him and his family. His joy in life and willingness to share has created many, many wonderful memories that we will cherish forever.
