In Memoriam for Iris Joyce CHILCOTT

27th February 2026. Beloved Mum, 11 years ago, this very night, I spent the saddest moments of my life, by your side,knowing there was nothing I could do to protect you further, or to stop you leaving us.
I remember, and always will, holding your hand and telling you how you were the best Mum ever and how much your entire family loved you more than words could ever say.
Although it broke my heart to be with you, I am so glad I was,so that I got to say goodbye to the beautiful Mum we all loved and cherished forever.
Being the caring,loving Mum you were,We know that you would not have wanted us to feel pain or sadness or to grieve from losing you.
After this amount of time, we are able to share so many fond tales of our lives with you and find so many reasons to laugh at our happy memories with you and Dad.
Last year,on 2 occasions, Jo and Steve, Mindy and Clem and Maddie and I, met up in Weymouth,where we enjoyed some of our best family times together with you and Dad. We all had funny stories to recall and all felt really close to you,as this was one of your favourite places.
So,tomorrow on the 28th February 2026, your 3 loving children, 7 Grandchildren and your Great-Grandchildren will all be thinking of you,in their own ways and no doubt be thinking of the wonderful,kind and very special person that you were. Love you forever precious Mum and still miss you loads.

2nd May 2025. Beloved Mum, we will all be thinking of the special person and Mum that you were, on what would have been your 91st Birthday. We are all so grateful that we did have you here with us,for so many of your Birthdays. We will be remembering you with an equal measure of happiness and sadness. Happy Birthday beautiful Mum,we will never forget how lucky we were to have you as our Mum. Jo, Simon and Mindy

30th March 2025. Another Mothers day, where your 3 children, Jo, Simon and Mindy, will be missing you terribly, but more importantly,remembering what a truly amazing Mum you were to us all. You always put us first and made us feel special, loved and safe. We are so lucky to have had you as our Mum, and best friend. So thank you for everything and we shall all be thinking of you on Mothers day. Love you precious Mum.

28th February 2025. Today will be the 10th Anniversary of us all losing our treasured and adored Mum, Grandma and Great-Grandma. We all find it so hard to believe that we lost you and that so much time has passed by without having you in our lives, as you were such a special and important part of our everyday lives. I think it is because you are so fondly and lovingly remembered in regular conversation, it makes us feel as if you are still here with us all. We have always kept you in our hearts and our memories of our wonderful times together will never fade. It is difficult to put into words just how special you always were and not just sometimes, but always throughout our lives. We will be eternally grateful for having you as "our Mum" as you were in our eyes "simply perfect." Thank you Mum, you will be loved, missed and adored forever. The 2nd May 2024 would have marked your 90th Birthday beautiful Mum.
We often speak of how very, very lucky we were to have had you for the best years of yours and our lives. Our times together were so memorable, because you made them that way, by being the kindest, selfless loving person that you always were. We would have loved the chance to have had you here for this special Birthday Mum, but are hugely grateful for the ones we got to be with you.
You always loved your Birthdays so much and tomorrow we will all try to smile and wish you a Happy Birthday. Love you Mum xxxxx
