Laurence StanleyCLARKESadly passed away peacefully at home on the 27th July 2025, aged 94 years.

Beloved Husband to Marilyn. Loving Husband of the late Joyce. Brother to John. Much loved Dad to Mandy, Gary and Lee and Stepdad to Matt and Cara. Adoring Grumps to Sam, Jack, Sam, Daniel, Bradley and Eve and Great Grumps to Dylan, Violet, Rhys, Finn, Margot, Marley, Noah and Mabel. Treasured Brother in law, Father in law and Uncle. Laurie will be sadly missed by all his family, friends and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

A celebration of Laurie's life will take place on Wednesday 13th August 2025 at 2.15pm in Cannon Hill Chapel, Canley Crematorium. Family flowers only. If you do wish to make a donation in Laurie's name these can be left in the donation box at the exit of the Chapel and will be divided between Laurie's chosen charities.

So sad to hear of Laurie's passing. I remember him well with great respect. He taught me Judo when I was a very young man. (I am now 80 years old).
His knowledge of the sport was excellent and he was a good teacher. He also had a good understanding of other martial arts.
Unfortunately I am unable to attend the funeral but my thoughts will be there.
