The obituary notice of Graham Frederick James CLOWES

Graham loved his swimming every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. He was inspirational and a true gentleman liked by everyone. He is very much missed by all his friends there. Personally I had many lovely conversations ranging from Eccleshall life, Sancerre right through to the benefits of air fryers! Sending all my best wishes to the family but particularly to Sam , who often joined Graham, and whom Graham adored. We miss you RIP

I worked at Norris & Mellor from 1979 to 1985 as the Office Junior and then probate secretary to Mr Shone.
Mr Clowes was an absolute gentleman. I bumped into him and his daughter Sarah quite a few years ago in Hanley and then bumped in to him on his own in Newcastle when he told me about his son Robert passing away so sad.

I had the pleasure of working for this absolute gent back in the early 1990s when he owned Norris & Mellor Solicitors in Burslem. My late father Peter Kelly went into partnership with Mr. Clowes before Mr. Clowes retired to spend time with his lovely wife Susie. May you rest in peace Mr. Clowes, gone but never forgotten

I didn’t know Graham well, but he was a friend of my parents and so our paths crossed at various points over the years. He was a lovely man, genuine, cheerful, gentle and unassuming. Sending my most sincere condolences to Susie, Sarah and the whole family.
