Grateful thanks of appreciation to all the staff on Ward 12 at the HRI and Kirkwood Hospice for their care and compassion in Eric's last days of life, it is very much appreciated. We would like to say a very special thank you to Sonya Lang of Chambers Funeral Service at Almondbury whose personal and professional service is outstanding and second to none ! Thank you for so genuinely caring and making such an awful, distressful situation as easy and as pleasant as possible and taking care of everything for us. I really do not know what we would have done without you ! You go far beyond the call of duty and were born to do this ! Special thanks and appreciation to Stuart Patterson of the British Humanist Association for a very comforting and personal Service that celebrated my dad's life and achievements, I am sure he enjoyed it ! You are a very caring and talented person and did an excellent job in such a little time. We would also like to thank Wendy who created the most perfect R.A.F. plane which was so beautiful and realistic. Thank you so much for getting it absolutely spot on, my dad would have loved it, it was amazing ! Thanks to Paul, Jeremy and Andrew, (Eric's nephews) for travelling all the way from Leicester and Oxford for the funeral. Thanks to Mr Hall and his partner for cleaning my dad's house, a difficult job at a difficult time, but you were wonderful and would highly recommend you in the future. Last but not least, I would like to say a very personal big thank you to the following people who made a difference to my dad's life, supported him, were good company for him and I know he valued you very much and thought a lot of you; Geoff (his brother) and Joan (sister in law), all the staff and all his friends at Kirkwood Hospice, Antz and Shirley, the Landord and all his friends at the Somerset Arms at Aspley, Mandy and Steve and family (next door neighbour) and Elaine (niece).
