Many people will be saddened at the sudden passing away of Gary Collins who died Sunday, September 28, 2003, aged 44 years.Gary attended Wintringham School and hated every moment of it!He spent the bulk of his working life at Kemps, United Biscuits and K.P. Snack factory where many people will remember Gary with affection.Best friend, Neil Lobley pays tribute:I met Gary when i started my first job at United Biscuits, we became instant close mates. Gary had such a fantastic sense of humour that brought a smile to all around him. Always looking for an opportunity to practically joke or mickey take. Everybody who met Gary say, "They can remember when they first met him". He had the personality that left an instant and lasting impression on everyone he met.Gary worked his way up to management but was always "One of the lads", i will miss his spark, his wit, his banter, his love of life.Gary met his wife Sue at United Biscuits and he leaves three lovely children, Katie 18, Emma 15 and Glen aged 12 and also a wonderful and close-knit family. Gary spent his last years working in Liverpool, but his heart was always in Grimsby, where he will be remembered with fondness by many.The funeral service will be held at Grimsby Crematorium, on Monday, October 6, at 1pm.Floral tributes in memory of Gary will be received by Stephen Near, of Wellowgate, Grimsby, Funeral Directors.
