I was just telling a young friend of mine who is a Robert Burns expert , all about you and mum having your honeymoon in Ayr and visiting Burns Cottage, memorial and Tam's Brig for your 30th birthday in June 1949 and how you were swept off your feet in the middle of the street by Big Jock, a comrade of yours from Burma and how you met his wife and family. I know you know the significance of a red rose 'My Love' you planted in your garden for you Ruby Wedding. Poignant memories sustaining me today Daddy. Hold mum tightly in your arms and look after her and take care of Douglas too, he was very tired and did so well in life, at work and looking after everyone.Love always, Dorothyxxx

"Still, through chaos,
Works the ancient plan,
And two things have
altered not
Since first the world began.
The beauty of the wild green earth
And the bravery of man"

You are always remembered and always loved Daddy. I know Douglas (John as he called himself in adult years) is with you and mum now and he will meet me and we will all be together again when it is time. I know mum will leave a light on for me and watch at the window and you will be reading the paper as always. Douglas was so proud of you , your medals and all the articles I wrote about you and Burma.

Thank you for the beautiful white feather this morning. I knew there would be one and you wouldn't let me down and have always kept all your promises.

We'll Meet Again

Lots of Love always and forever, Dorothyxxx
