It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eric Cooper, who died on 23 June 2026.

Eric was a well-known cellist, conductor and passionate supporter of choral music. He touched the lives of many through his musicianship, enthusiasm and friendship, and he will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

Eric's funeral service will be held at Huddersfield Crematorium, 64 Fixby Road, Huddersfield HD2 2JF, on Monday 27 July 2026 at 11:15 am.

Following the service, family and friends are warmly invited to join us for refreshments and to share memories of Eric at the Huddersfield Ukrainian Club, 7 Edgerton Road, Huddersfield HD1 5RA.

If you plan to attend the gathering at the Ukrainian Club, we would be grateful if you could let us know in advance by emailing [email protected], so that we can make the necessary catering arrangements.
