Vibert EdmundCORNWALLDr Vibert Edmund Cornwall Aka Ray King of St Vincent and the Grenadines, passed away peacefully at home on 14th July 2026, aged 87.
Loving husband of 53 years to Hazel Devoted father to Zoe, Sophinna, Mark and Jason Proud Grandfather to Jayden (RIP), Savannah-Rae, D'Marco-Ray, Mya, Arlo, Nirvana-Rai and Amara. Very dear Cousin to Egbert 'Punch' Cornwall.
Ray helped inspire the SKA and 2 tone music era in Coventry as well as being a huge figure in the West Indian communities with his efforts and passion of turning kids to music. He leaves behind a huge void in his family and the community. He will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of crossing paths with him.
Funeral service to be held at Coventry Cathedral on Wednesday 19th August 2026 at 12pm followed by burial at Lentons Lane Cemetery.
