John MichaelCOYPassed away in Priory Grange Residential Home at 3.00am on Monday 20th October 2025 aged 83.

Loving and devoted husband of Gillian. Dear dad to Karon and son-in-law Steve. Martyn and daughter-in-law Faith. Grandad to Simon, Cally, Emma, Lilly and Reuben. Great grandad to Lily, Elodie, Able, Beaux, Indy and Alvie.

''I have lost my best friend and the love of my life. I am heart broken, you have suffered so much with the cruel disease alzheimers, and now it's time for you to rest in peace my love.'' Your ever loving wife Gilly.

A Funeral Service will be held at Haltemprice Crematorium, Willerby on Thursday 13th November at 12.30pm.

No flowers by family request. Donations if desired may be left following the service for Alzheimer's Research.

So, so sorry to hear this sad news.
As an old school pal at Hessle High School in the 50's he was good friend and, like me, a Hull City supporter. I used to go to his home in Beverley Road, Hessle every week to watch Wagon Train on their TV as we couldn't afford one. I even joined the family in Scarborough on holiday,at their invitation such was John's family's generosity. A lovely family. RIP John.

Lasting memories of John as a work colleague at George Clark's and a cricket opening bat at Engineers, Blackburn's and Welton CC. Team-mate to many over 60 years. Deepest condolences to. Gill, Karen, Martin, and families. Carol and Brian Parker
