Desmond AnthonyCURRIE(Consett) Peacefully passed away surrounded by his family on the 19th May aged 72 years. Des was the beloved husband of Diane for 51 years. Devoted father to Kristin, Aiden, Jacq and Angie. Dearly loved father in law of Joanne, Hilary, Billy and Jonny. Proud and loving grandad to Amy, Rachel, Sam, Richard, Des, Aiden, Terry, Mirren and Emily. Son of Joan and the late Clifford and brother of Glenn. A dear uncle and great friend to many. Friends please meet for service at Mountsett Crematorium on Thursday 30th May at 11am. All enquiries to Derwentside Funeral Service tel 01207 234444.

Des was a massive help to us doing our print years ago when we just started in business... he was a smashing bloke and always wanted to help... its only recently I looked him up and was sad to hear of his passing. He will be greatly missed... top bloke.
