David ThomasDANEPassed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday 26th April 2022, aged 83. Beloved husband of Valerie (deceased) and to Stella of 57 years, devoted dad to Sharon, Tracy & Ian, proud grandad to Kerri, Scott, Louis, Lucas, Liam, Brooke and Paige. Dave was very active in the community of Plymstock for 50 years, including Morley Youth Club, Primary Schools cross country (over 20 years), Plym Ramblers and Plymstock Road Runners to mention just a few. He will be missed by everyone who knew him and whose lives he touched. The funeral service will be held at Weston Mill Crematorium on Friday 27th May at 10:45 am. The family welcome you to wear football shirts (Argyle or Spurs by preference) or a running top, if desired. Family flowers only, donations to St Luke's Hospice. Steve and I first met Dave when we joined Plymstock Road Runners.
He was an inspiration to us both and we had the pleasure of getting to know him and running with him over many years.
We have so many fantastic memories. He was a truly wonderful man who gave so much to others in his community.
