JohnDAVIES27.04.1941 - 01.03.2008 It is with great sadness the family announce the passing away of John, beloved husband of Marlene, devoted father, grandfather, brother and uncle. Everyone who knew John would agree that he fought his Cancer with great courage and determination and spirit to the end. He passed away peacefully in his sleep at Aberdare Hospital at age 66. The family would like to express their thanks to the staff at the Ynysdawel Ward at Aberdare Hospital for the care and compassion they provided to both John and the family during his time there. We would also like to thank Father Michael who conducted the services at both the home and at Llwydcoed and to Gilbert James Funeral Directors who showed the utmost compassion and dignity and respect over the arrangements. Thanks must be given to the Pall Bearers: David Davies, Paul Davies, Lee Davies, Damian Davies, David Davies, David Fowler, nephews and great- nephews of John. The family would like to thank everyone who attended the funeral and for their messages of condolence and floral tributes. Thanks also to Pentrebach Cricket Club for the buffet and use of the facilities, where John spent many happy evenings. John has left us all with happy memories and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
