NellyDAVIESThe funeral took place on Feb 14, 2008, of Mrs Nelly Davies of 115 Dan-yr-Heol, Penywaun, who died suddenly on Feb 4, 2008, at Prince Charles Hospital. The funeral service was held at The Living Truth Family Church at Penywaun, where it was attended by family, friends and neighbours and where Nelly went every Tuesday as a member of Precious Jewels. The service was conducted with heartfelt sincerity by Pastor Nigel Begley. Interment took place at BrynGaer Cemetery, Penderyn Rd, Hirwaun, where she was laid to rest with her late husband David James Davies, who died Dec 12, 1998. Floral tributes from daughter Jacqueline and son-in-law Glyn, grand-son Philip, great-grand-sons Rhys and Alun, Melanie, Lloyd, Morgan and great-grandchildren Mason and Sadie Davies who travelled a long way to be there. Pastor Begley, wife and family, Carl, Susan and family, Emily and Shirley, Phil, Fay, Peter and Ingrid, Margaret Morgan and Ada Mathias from Precious Jewels and from all her friends at Precious Jewels and friends and neighbours from Dan-yr-Heol and Coed Glas whose donations also paid for flowers at the church. The family would like to thank everyone for the floral tributes, cards and messages of sympathy they received. Thanks to Pastor Begley, Debbie and Sharon, for the refreshments and Jill and all the helpers from the church. Thanks to Hirwaun Funeral Directors who carried out their services with dignity and were kind and thoughtful to the family at this sad time. Thanks to Ray's Florist at Trecynon for the family flowers and to all who attended the funeral service at the church and cemetery. Nelly will be sadly missed by family and friends. God Bless.
