JohnDAVIESMr John Colin Davies, of Cowpe Road, Cowpe, Waterfoot, died at the Royal Blackburn Hospital on Saturday, March 12, aged 74. John was a colour matcher, and retired from JB Broadley, Rawtenstall. John enjoyed playing cricket in his youth, and snooker. He loved gardening and watching sport on TV, especially football and horse racing. John was a past member of Waterfoot Conservative Club and Waterfoot Social Club. He leaves wife Elaine, who he was married to for 49 years, son Alex and daughter-in-law Linda, son Chris and daughter-in-law Hilary, and much loved grandchildren Alexi and Myles. The funeral will be held on Thursday, March 24, at 2.20pm at Accrington Crematorium, led by Rev Stephen Crook. Family flowers only; donations if desired to the British Heart Foundation. Donations can be made online at www.fredhamer. co.uk (tributes and donations). Funeral director: Dawn Winfield for Fred Hamer Funeral Services, Rawtenstall.
