In tribute to the 40 years that Sue, our beloved mother and mother-in-law, worked as a nurse. She worked very closely with Dr Thomas (retired) and Dr Granville Morris at Prince Philip Hospital in the 2000s, to set up a 'Stroke Bay', which pioneered the now-common practice of multidisciplinary working for the rehabilitation of stroke patients. This method of working was studied and proved statistically that that the working practices they developed reduced the length of stay of patients who'd had a stroke by an average of 50%. She was proud to have been part of this and was a member of the Stroke Association, even after she retired. This small donation is therefore made in her memory and to help support a charity that meant a lot to her.
