LoisDAVISONMrs Lois Davison, of Turfcote Care & Nursing Home, Helmshore, died at the Royal Blackburn Hospital on Tuesday, April 19, aged 84. Lois worked at Mullards, Waterfoot, then trained to be a nurse, and finally worked as a sister at Rossendale General Hospital until retirement. In her younger days, she played netball and was a member of BOADS, where she met her husband Les. They enjoyed any holidays abroad. Lois loved spending time eating out, and spending time with family and friends. She loved all animals, and would watch any animal programme on TV. Wife of the late Les, and mother to the late Lisa, she leaves daughter Lindsay, sons-in-law Andrew and Kevin, grandchildren Aaron, Bethany, and Megan, and partners Molly and Sam, and great-grandchildren Barney, Theo and Romi. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 4, at 12noon at Knight and Boys Chapel of Rest, followed at Tunstead Church at 12.30pm, and Burnley Crematorium at 1.45pm, led by Rev Derek Allen.
