BarbaraDAVYR.E. Teacher and 10th Grimsby Girls' Brigade Officer

Peacefully on 20th July 2025, in the compassionate care of Ladysmith Care Home, after a long illness, with her family by her side, Barbara aged 91 years.

Adored wife of the late Ken Davy for over 66 years, much loved mum of Susan, Judy and Paul, loving mother-in-law of John, Kevin and Andrea, honorary mum of Nick Heywood and Lynn Campbell-Heath, treasured grandma of Matthew, Christopher & Emma, Michael & Meg, Stephen, Joseph, Saskia and Abi & Hep, a devoted great-grandma of Charlie, Evie, Rosa and Luke, special sister of the late John and Peter, a dear sister-in-law of Pete & Joan, Geoff & Jane, Annette & John and the late Sylvia, a loving auntie, great-auntie and cousin and a good friend to many.

Family and Church family were everything to Barbara, and she lived her life through her faith.

Barbara will be sadly missed by all who knew her, but her mind and body are free at last from their earthly constraints, and she is reunited with Ken, resting in the loving embrace of our Lord.

A service to commemorate Barbara's life will take place at St. Christopher's Methodist Church, Welholme Road, Grimsby on Tuesday 19th August 2025 at 1.00pm followed by committal at Grimsby Crematorium at 2:15pm.

Barbara personally requested that all attendees do not wear mourning clothes but, "wear clothes that reflect the beautiful colours of nature".
