Mavis AnnDEELEYMavis, a parishioner of St John the Evangelist Church in Mickleover, and resident of Middleton Lodge Care Home in Littleover, passed away peacefully on 17th June aged 90 years.
Beloved wife of the late Roy, Mavis was a kind and gentle lady whose warmth and friendship touched the lives of many. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Mavis found great happiness in the beauty of the outdoors and had a lifelong love of nature and wildlife. She had a particular fondness for birds and treasured the daily visits from her little blackbird, which never failed to brighten her day and brought her immense comfort and joy.
A service to celebrate Mavis's life will be held at Markeaton Crematorium (Main chapel) on Friday 24th July at 10.00am.
Family flowers only, please. Donations in memory of Mavis are gratefully received for the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, supporting the wildlife and birds that she cared for so dearly.
