and more recently of Chester-le-Street, announce with profound sadness his recent death on 28th July 2026.
Beloved husband of Ursula, devoted father of Aine, Tara, Colin and Sinead and much-loved grandfather of Ciara,
Louis, Jamie, Erin, Orla, Isla, Torin, Rian and Aidan.
A distinguished educator and respected former Headteacher of St Louis Grammar School, Kilkeel, Co. Down,
Dr Devlin dedicated his life to the education and development of young people,
leaving a lasting legacy through his leadership and commitment to excellence.
He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his family, friends,
former colleagues and pupils and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
The funeral will take place on Wednesday 26th August at 10am at St Cuthbert's Church, Chester-Le-Street.
