Jeremy JohnDICKERDied peacefully at St Peter's Hospice Bristol on 5 December 2023. Born 5 March 1944, in Edgware, North Middlesex, Jerry was known and loved locally for his teaching roles at Crossways School Thornbury, and headships at Oldbury School, Oldbury-on-Severn and Elmlea Junior School, Westbury-on-Trym. He enjoyed a second career in arboriculture and was a passionate and active participant in community work to protect and enhance local woodland and biodiversity. Jerry will be hugely missed by wife Jenny, sons Simon and Michael, daughter Marianne and his grandchildren.
The funeral will take place at St Mary's church Thornbury on 4 January at 1pm. Family flowers only but donations to a tribute fund for St Peter's Hospice can be made C/O L.W.Clutterbuck Funeral Directors, 45 High Street, Thornbury, BS35 2AR
