EileenDOBSON(née Sharpe) Born 5th May 1951 in Lochside, Dumfries, beloved daughter of Betty and James Sharpe and dear sister to Liz, James and Bernard.
Eileen attended the local Benedictine Convent School before going on to Edinburgh for teacher training at Craiglockhart College. While working at the Queensbury Pub in Dumfries she met her husband, Ray. They later moved to Maltby, Yorkshire, where Eileen spent many years working as a dedicated primary school teacher and SENCo.
Much loved mother to Laina, Louise and Gabrielle and a proud grandmother to her four wonderful grandchildren.
Eileen loved travelling and saw much of the world during her life, touching many lives through her warmth, kindness and friendship. Though she later lived in England, she never forgot her Scottish roots and always remained deeply proud of where she came from.
Eileen passed away, surrounded by love, at her family home in Nottingham on 2nd March 2026.
She will be remembered with great affection by family, friends and the many pupils whose lives she influenced with her skill and care. She is deeply loved and missed.
