ChristopherDOODYMr Christopher Joseph Doody, of Staghills Road, Newchurch, died at home on Saturday, June 19, aged 76. Christopher was a self-employed retired builder. He started work as a piling operator at Faircloughs, and then moved on to be a builder until retirement. He enjoyed football, watching both Manchester United and Liverpool, and watching Rossendale United. He leaves wife Susan of 51 years, three children Sharon, Justin, and Kent, daughter-in-law Sonya, son-in-law Kevin, grandchildren Megan, Lewis, Olivia, Tyler, and Leoni, great-grandchildren Monroe and Honey, his sisters Carol, Bernadette, Marie, Angela, the late Nora, Pat, and Christine, and brothers Lawrence, Francis, and Denis, nieces and nephews, and extended family. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 30, at 1.45pm at Burnley Crematorium, led by Rev Stephen Crook. Family flowers only; donations if desired to Diabetes UK.
