I’ll always be grateful to Mick for his coaching of cricket to us as youngsters, but more so for being an endless source of knowledge and guidance on the game ever since. A winner. He’ll be remembered fondly by so many that his influence during his lifetime will continue to extrapolate in the future and his legacy will live on.

Mick was instrumental in the first beginnings of the women’s football team at Driffield and took a chance on us all when no one else would. Have so much to thank him for. A truly kind and wonderful soul. Will be missed. Thoughts are with the family.

Mick, you were an inspiration to all, especially when I was trying my hardest in the early days to dethrone you from school goalie, had some great times together. RIP mate, a loss for all, taken far to young.
