You held my hand a hero, brave and true
A royal marine through and through
You walked with courage with strength and grace
Leaving a legacy that time cannot erase
From Green Bay to a weathered kind smile
You faced every challenge after a mile after
But beyond the service, the duty the call
You are my grandad and you stood for it all
I’ll wear your memories, Shining so bright and think of your strength in the darkest of nights
Though you’ve crossed the bar and put out to see your grandad’s love you’ve left with me

Losing you showed us how precious life is we miss you every day. Life is v difficult sometimes but nothing is permanent so I’ll wait for better days to come and be grateful for what we have xx
