Farewell Gareth..It wont be quite the samer without you Old Boy !...
"Twilight ,and the Evening Bell , and after that The Dark.
But let there be no semblance of Farewell, when I embark.
For though with out our bourne ,of time and space, The Flood may bear me far ,and I shall meet my Pilot , face to face ,when I have Crossed the Bar." Gareth my friend , you have Crossed the Bar ,and I am sure you have met your Pilot ,Face to Face. Happy sailing and a Safe Harbour Gareth. May You Rest in Peace.

It was with great sadness that I heard that Captain Ellis had crossed the bar.
It was an honour and pleasure to sail with him. The Prince Madog under his command was a happy ship and one of the most memorable of my sea going career.
My thoughts are with his family at this sad time.
Fair winds and following seas Gareth.
Nick. Former Chief Officer RV Prince Madog

So saddened to hear of Gareths passing. Whilst not close friends we had many a chat when he was on the train going to a job or returning home. A regular of the old Holyhead Ex Servicemens club, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
