Died peacefully at home on Wednesday, August 6th, aged 81.
Alec was a beloved brother to the late Ivor; loving husband to Sheila, cherished father to Sandra and Diane,
treasured grandad to Jake and John, caring uncle to Paul, dear cousin to Shirley, dear father-in-law to Bill
and a friend to many.
He started his working life at Fagan and Whalley, followed by Whinney Hill Brickworks, Associated Dairies, Gilbraith Transport and finally Lancashire United LTD where he started as a bus driver before being promoted to duty manager. He worked there until his retirement.
In his spare time Alec loved taking holidays with Sheila in Britain and abroad, and going for walks.
He also liked snooker, football and darts.
Alec will be remembered with love and kindness. He will be deeply missed.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 20th at 3pm at Accrington Crematorium.
