I came to know Liz better in later years when she attended Ex Infirmary Nurses and staff reunions, also I had the privilege of looking after her during her illness, she was such a brave beautiful person, interested and interesting, she will be missed.

I first met Liz when I was 18 years old and had just started my nurse training and we both lived in the same nurse accommodation block, and it wasn’t long before we became firm friends.
We later moved out of Ester Jones and decided to flat share in another NHS owned accommodation and there we stayed until we married our partners.
Liz was my bridesmaid and God parent to one of my children.
We remained close as our families grew and we had many many fun adventures together.
My family and I moved to Gloucester in the late 80’s and Liz and family would often visit, ensuring that the happy adventures and laughter continued including The Millennium Party Holiday!
It was a blast!
We are so pleased that we introduced Liz to Shell Island in mid Wales. It is a place that she spent many happy times and she would often regale us with stories of her holidays there.
Rest in peace Liz. Our wonderful dear friend who always had a smile on her face and who put smiles on everyone else’s.
You will be sadly missed.
