FredEVANSOf St Nicolas Park Drive, Nuneaton, formerly of Nuneaton Nursery and Garden Centre and Chairman of Nuneaton Burma Star Association. Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on 16th May 2010, aged 88 years. Beloved husband of Barbara, much loved dad of Tim, Bryn, Sue, Fay, Vicky, Gary and Kerry and a dearly loved father-in-law, grandad and great grandad. Funeral service to take place at the Heart of England Crematorium on Thursday 27th May at 1.30pm. No flowers by request please but donations if desired to Mary Ann Evans Hospice c/o D B Devall & Son Funeral Directors, The Green, Attleborough. Tel 024 76375665.

Fred Day, a man who devoted his life after WW11 to ensuring the men who served in the Burma Campaign in WW11 both those who lost their lives and those that returned home were remembered for ever. Thanks Fred your efforts live on even in 2026.
A very grateful member of the public, whose great uncle was one member of the Nuneaton Branch of The Burma Association.
