BettyFARNWORTHMRS Betty Farnworth, of Cowpe, Waterfoot, formerly of Rising Bridge Road and more recently, Highfield Care Home, Haslingden, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 30 at the Royal Blackburn Hospital, aged 94. She was the beloved husband of the late Frank Farnworth, loving mother and mother-in law of Michael and Ann, Peter and Tracey, and Hilary and Mark, the treasured Nana of Vicky, Shelley, Brent, Sarah, Samuel, Benjamin and Ben, and Great-Nana to Kayleigh, Amelia, Oliver, Lena, Isla, Zoe and Lucy. She will be sadly missed by all her family and many friends. In her younger years Betty was an Auxiliary Nurse at Rossendale General Hospital and later a Catering Assistant at Cribden House. She was a member of the Rossendale Ladies Choir for over 40 years where she made many lasting friends. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, September 14, with a short service at Hamer’s Chapel of Rest at 11.30am. This will be followed by cremation at Accrington Crematorium at 12.20pm. The service will be officiated by the Rev Stephen Brown. Family flowers only please with donations if desired to Rossendale Hospice or RNIB.
