Robert StanleyFERGUSONDied peacefully on Friday 2nd June 2023 aged 75 at Addenbrooke's Hospital Cambridge. A lifelong musician, he was a beloved brother, uncle, teacher, and friend to many. Funeral service to be held in the East Chapel at Cambridge City Crematorium at 11:30 am on Friday 21st July. Donations to the Huntingdon's Disease Association in Robert's memory can be made at the service or forwarded to Richard Stebbings Funeral Service Ltd, Kendal House, Cambridge Road, Impington, Cambridge CB24 9YS. Robert gave my children piano lessons when we lived in Rainham, Essex. I remember him playing Kabalevsky's "A Sad Little Tale" so musically that it became a favourite piece of mine to play, and is the only one I can still play from memory. We played some concerts together. I hadn't known what had happened to him after he moved to Cambridge and had lived there for many years. I had visited him and knew that he had developed Huntington's, a sad disease. Rest in peace, Robert.
