WilliamFINNWILLIAM Finn passed away peacefully on Friday, December 19, aged 85 years.
Bill, much loved husband to Anne, dad to Jane, Kate and Jonathan, grandad to Caleb, Christopher and Jon, and great grandad, brother and uncle, will be greatly missed.
He was a keen crown green bowler and will be fondly remembered by fellow bowlers both in the Hyndburn area and in Thornton Cleveleys, where he played often. He had a lengthy teaching career at Holy Family/Mount Carmel High school and will be remembered with respect by many ex-pupils and colleagues.
A Requiem Mass will be held at St Mary's Catholic Church, Oswaldtwistle, on Wednesday, January 7, at 10am, this will be followed by a short ceremony at Accrington Crematorium. Family flowers only please, donations in memoriam to Versus Arthritis. These can be made via the donations box placed at church.
